This article is going to be about voice assistants installed on devices like google home or even your phone. There are four famous ones of their type, Google Assistant, Apple’s Siri, Samsung’s Bixby, and Amazon’s Alexa. Voice assistants are playing a huge role nowadays in the tech world.

Recently, I had seen an advertisement for a car, Honda City, In which they portray that the vehicle is connectable to voice assistants, as a significant advantage over other automobiles. Usually, people use voice assistants when they are tired of typing, but frequent use of voice assistants can change the way people think about their phones.

Siri was launched by Apple in the iPhone 4S, after buying the company that ran a voice command app, Siri Inc, on 4th October 2011, the day before Steve Jobs’s Death. Amazon launched Alexa on 6 November 2014. Then, Google Launched google assistant on 18 May 2016. Samsung launched Bixby on 21 April 2017.

In my opinion, Voice Assistants are cool but have one minor problem, which is that many people have different accents, and assistants don’t take the exact meaning that they speak. The Speaker Versions of Google Assistant, Siri, Alexa are called Google Home/ Google Now, Alexa/Echo, Siri/HomePod respectively. Cortana is Microsoft’s Voice Assistant.
